He is recognized as the official historian on the iconic Santa’s Village Theme Park, Dundee, Illinois whom he has been associated with for more than 20 years. Santa Phil is also the published author of “Santa’s Village”. He is a consultant to St. Nicholas Development, L.L.C., historic Santa’s Candy Castle and Santa Claus Town restoration project in Santa Claus, IN.
If ever there was a man born to be Santa Claus, it is Phillip L. Wenz. At the age of four he donned his first Santa outfit. By the time he was fourteen he was in his first parade, and by the ripe old age of twenty-four, he became the year round Santa Claus for the iconic Santa’s Village.
He is, bar none, one of the most experienced Santas in America and probably the world. Wenz’s body of work spans five decades, truly making him The Legendary Santa Claus from Santa’s Village.
